A trend that we as exhibitors saw at the last ‘Agritechnica’ trade fair in Hanover is the rediscovery of wood for heating and generating electricity. Wood is gaining a lot of popularity as a renewable energy source and its financial advantages.
Log-splitter
Special forestry machines are used for both the preservation and processing of wood. An example of such a machine is a log splitter, which helps cut the tree trunks into small pieces.
Forestry machines are remotely controlled
Splitters are hydraulically driven. They split logs in a vertical or horizontal position. A thick tree trunk is very heavy, and therefore, to simplify the transportation of those thick trunks to the splitter, a compact winch is mounted on the machine.
Fornax Safe remote control
The manufacturer of log splitters uses the Tyro Fornax Basic / Aquarius remote control for this application.
Radio remote attached to a belt
When dragging the tree trunks, it is essential to position them correctly on the splitter. Using a belt-clip, the operator can attach the remote to his belt. This makes it easier for him to use the remote control when required to adjust the position of the tree trunk. He can now operate the winch to pull the tree trunk and position it as desired without going back and forth to the splitting machine. Thus, having a Tyro remote is a definite plus in terms of comfort and convenience, with a positive effect on productivity.

A contractor was looking for a mobile pump to transfer liquid manure and fermentation substrate. The pumps needed to be used in tanker vehicles in various agricultural operations. It was important for the contractor to have a compact pump that could deal with high pumping volumes and that was resistant to solids. The customer opted for a Börger Rotary Lobe Pump. Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned criteria, the key to the decision was that Börger GmbH carried out all the work from the planning of the mobile unit, the design and the construction of the trailer, and the controls. This ensured that all the customer’s requirements could be taken into account, and a custom-made mobile unit that fulfilled the contractor’s demands was made.
To operate the unit from all sides, it was fitted with an electronic remote control (Pyxis / Aquarius). The unit can be started and stopped with the remote control. Furthermore, the speed and direction of transfer can be easily changed.
The built-in transfluid power shift transmission ensures a long service life for the gears and drive in reversing mode. The customer is extremely pleased with the Börger mobile unit. The high pump output, reversing control, and remote control operation have already significantly increased the unit’s productivity compared to the unit used before by the customer.
Automated filling process with radio remote control
The filling station is both stationary and as well as mobile. Due to the help of a wireless M2M remote control, the filling process is fully automated.
Remotely activated slurry pump
The filling station comprises a pump that pumps out the slurry from the pit and a separator that filters it. After filtration, the pump fills the slurry in the tank. When the farmer or the contractor comes with the empty tank to the filling station, he docks the suction arm of the slurry tank to the pump. Thereafter, he activates the slurry pump with the compact hand-held transmitter. The pump starts filling the slurry into the tank.
Communication between the radio control receiver and transmitter
Once the slurry tank is full, a sensor sends an input signal to the M2M transmitter mounted on the slurry tank. This M2M transmitter then automatically, with the help of wireless communication, sends a signal to the M2M wireless receiver that is mounted on the pump. Once the signal is received, the pump gets turned off automatically.
No maintenance requiring cables
Without cumbersome and fragile cables, the whole filling process is wirelessly managed. This provides the user of the slurry tank the necessary time savings as he not need to monitor the filling process himself. This gives him the flexibility to go away from the pump with complete peace of mind!
Aquarius M2M system
The Aquarius/Aquarius M2M system is especially suitable for this application since the electronics of the receivers are 100% waterproof and are protected against the effects of dirt, moisture, and strong ammonia vapors. It is, therefore, an industrial wireless system that is perfect for this application.

Concrete pumping is heavy-duty work that leaves little room for disruptions or errors. Operators are not only in a potentially messy construction environment but also subject to harsh or unpredictable weather conditions. Operators need job site tools that make concrete pumping more reliable, efficient, and safe for workers. Using a tool like our Concrete Pump Remote Control can help keep workers out of harm’s way and reduce workplace accidents by eliminating the need for operators to be physically near the pump.
Industrial Wireless Remote Control
Wireless remote controllers for concrete pumps are reliable and easy to use. Concrete Pump Remotes increase the mobility of workers on the job site, allowing for a better view of the work area. The operating range needs to be long enough to extend across the entire job site, and the signal needs to be maintained while operating the pump. With a radio remote control, projects can be completed faster without compromising safety.
Make your construction project easier than ever with Pump Boss — your go-to solution for all your wireless remote control needs. Designed to meet demanding construction environments, our radio remote controls increase productivity by making concrete pumping a one-person job. A concrete pump remote control provides direct and immediate control of the pump from the point of delivery.
Made from high-impact, fiber-reinforced nylon and rugged aluminum using the latest generation microcontrollers, you can rest assured that every job will run quickly and efficiently with Pump Boss!
The Pump Boss Remote features a user-friendly design and intuitive controls. A concrete pump remote control allows operators to adjust all settings remotely from up to 600 feet away. This helps your workers get more done faster without worrying about potential delays caused by physical limitations on-site.
The Pump Boss Remote also has a closed-boxed configuration over Bluetooth®, enabling simple and rapid deployment of spares. Plus, no frequency or address management is required. Additional Pump Boss options include:
A drop-in cradle with a power adapter and LiPo rechargeable batteries.
Chassis mount and line kit or magnet mount and line kit.
Put Safety First with A Concrete Pump Remote
When it comes to your next construction project, consider using Pump Boss for your concrete pumping needs. Our industrial wireless remote controls cover a wide range of markets and applications.
