Anderson Controls Incorporated supports ending violence and human rights violations. The United States Government passed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in a futile attempt to address some of the violence and human rights violations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding countries. This Act requires companies to disclose the extent the product they manufacturer contain so-called conflict minerals mined in the specified areas (a very difficult and time consuming process). The minerals include tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold.

Manufacturers of the products distributed byAnderson Controls Incorporated have made it clear that their distributors are not authorized to provide the complex data required by the Act, as traditional component distribution activities are not within the scope of the Act’s definition of reporting requirements.

However, to assist Anderson Controls Incorporated customers, the following link will allow customers to see individual manufacturer’s positions; this link is continually being updated by the Electronic Components Industry Association.
