Wireless M2M Communications
Wireless M2M (machine-to-machine) solutions are used for a large amount of various applications in which a signal has to be sent from one installation to another, without human intervention being necessary.
Applications of the M2M system
The M2M system can safeguard machines from a distance. The machine-to-machine solution is also used to stop a pump or motor by means of wireless communication as soon as a certain cycle is completed or when a Level Control System has reached a specific level.
The Aquarius M2M system
The Aquarius M2M system consists of two completely waterproof units (IP68), with one unit acting as a transmitter and the other as a receiver. The Aquarius system’s solid potted housing makes it suitable for use in the most extreme weather conditions.
How customers use our M2M solution
Examples of common applications for customers of Tyro are the use of M2M systems on irrigation systems, CNC-milling machines and water pumps. Below is an example of how such a system works in conjunction with a M2M system:
Irrigation system using machine-to-machine
An irrigation system typically consists of a powerful water pump which, for example, pumps water from a ditch to a sprayer that irrigates the field. When the spray computer indicates that the cycle is completed the pump will shut down. The Aquarius M2M transmitter receives input from the sprayer and sends a wireless signal to the Aquarius M2M receiver on the pump which immediately shuts down. All without human intervention, without even having to press a button.
