Description
PRECISE PROPORTIONAL PISTOL-GRIP
The PILOT remote control grew out of our GUIDER series wireless transmitter. It leverages all of the same technology,
including our ultra-precise contactless proportional hall-effect trigger if so configured, but has a more ergonomic, rounded
enclosure with more room on the control surface for more switch and joystick options.
It can fit up to six single-axis thumbwheels or four dual-axis thumbsticks for fully independent proportional control of a mobile crane or other similar equipment and even has room for small displays to provide real-time feedback and control. When used in a full-proportional configuration with thumbsticks or thumbwheels, the proportional trigger makes for an excellent deadman switch to continue the safety practice of one-handed dual-action confirmed control.
Like the GUIDER and many of our other products, a tether/charge connector is at the base of the grip for wired operation or fast charging.
The enclosure is polypropylene copolymer, and the electronics are all high-spec SMT: together, these remotes are durable at any temperature – arctic or equatorial.
Twenty hours of actively transmitting operating life is a typical minimum with our NiMH batteries, but the PILOT has the flexibility to run off of four AA batteries or our internal lithium polymer packs for extended life.
